The kitchen doesn’t like me, but the pandemic allowed me to try new things, so I made tuna spring rolls with chilli mayo dip based on a recipe I found online.⁣

I used the newest canned tuna in town! La Mia’s world-class tuna, which is by the way sourced from the Tuna Capital - Gensan, is now available in Cebu! It comes in three flavors - Tuna Flakes in Oil, Hot & Spicy, and Afritada.⁣

The tuna tastes great! And as for my spring rolls, they turned out just fine. The fam consumed everything! Lol. You can now grab La Mia Tuna at select grocery stores in Cebu and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao.⁣

A baby was born and was told that he won’t live

A baby was born and was told that he won’t live beyond two weeks. That baby has turned 30 years old today. Every day is a miracle and I cannot be thankful enough. ⁣

I thought 25 was scary, but 30 is more daunting. What more, 30 during a pandemic which has brought down to our knees. As early as last year, I already had plans for today. After all, 30 is a big deal to me, another full decade and coming of age, especially for someone who really “feels his age” and celebrates it.⁣
⁣
BUT our current situation forced us to re-evaluate life and what truly matters. Thank you to my family, first. With or without pandemic, they have always made sure of my well-being. To my FEW but TRUE friends, you know who you are. Thank you for keeping me sane. To my extended network of acquaintances, and to you reading this, thank you for adding more color and spice to my life thus far, for making it more GLORIOUS and CALOCA!⁣

And most of all, to our CREATOR, thank you for everything! Like all of you, I continue to pray for this pandemic to end. ⁣

P.S. I’ve been reading the greetings on my wall and inbox and I will respond to as many as possible, in a calibrated manner that won’t get my account flagged for abuse by Facebook. My heart is full. Again, thank you! ⁣

I would’ve been in Boracay now, but there aren’t direct flights from Cebu yet. I heard that Cebu Pacific is resuming Cebu-Caticlan flights in December though. Yay! #Libotero
