By on July 1, 2012

In less than two weeks, South Cotabato will once again be staging it’s T’nalak Festival! The festival, which is a wonderful display of the rich culture and heritage of South Cotabato, is named after the T’nalak, a sacred cloth made from abaca which is exchanged during marriages and used as a cover during births. The T’nalak cloth is woven by the T’boli tribe, also famous for their intricate beadwork and brass ornaments.

The T’nalak Festival is held as part of the annual founding anniversary celebration of the province of South Cotabato. This year, the festival will be on its 13th year while the province will be on its 46th.
