Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival of Festivals 2012 Schedule

By on June 7, 2012

It’s official! Airline ticket and hotel room booked for the 2012 Edition of the Pintados-Kasadyaan (PK) Festival of Festivals in Leyte! The PK is the province’s largest, grandest and most colorful festival. It bagged the Best Tourism Practice Award – Festival Category (provincial level) during the 2010 Association of Tourism Officers (ATOP) National Convention held in Subic Bay.

Last year was the first time I witnessed the festival as recommended by my co-travel blogger friend, Enrico. It was also the first time I stepped on Eastern Visayas. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience because of the world-class performances. I could say that it is one of the best festivals I have witnessed here in the country and I promised myself to be back for the next Pintados-Kasadyaan. Oh time flies so fast and now, we’re counting down to the 25th staging of the Pintados and 17th staging of the Kasadyaan Festival of Festivals!

Now on its 17th year, this premier festival of Region VIII has become the most awaited event of the Tacloban City fiesta celebrations in honor of its Patron, the Sr. Sto. Niño de Tacloban in the month of June.
