DAY 3

We weren’t able to find any decent dining establishments in Pagudpud (most, if not all of the dining establishments in Pagudpud are carinderia-type. Nothing’s wrong with that but the kids aren’t used to the not-so-clean and not-so-healthy atmosphere. If not for the kids, we could have settled for the beach eateries.) so after we said that we’ve had enough of the beach, we decided to just travel further back south and have lunch at the first restaurant (or carinderia or whatever) we’d encounter.

1:45pm. We arrived back in Burgos, Ilocos Norte and found this: Cape Bojeador Cafe and Restaurant

So, with a view like this,

we decided to eat lunch there.

The small and cutesy restaurant,

had a promising menu with crispy pata, bulalo and halo-halo espesyal, among others, in their list of food choices so we called on someone to take our order but then we were disappointed upon knowing that all those good stuff weren’t available. Well, it is quite understandable since transporting goods to/from the location is quite difficult. I myself can’t imagine how they transport goods to/from the restaurant. Hmmm.

So, we had no choice but to order the stuff that were available and they were: Laoag Bagnet and Sizzling Squid.

While waiting for the food to be served, I looked around the vicinity and found this at the back of the restaurant: a trail for trekking!

But while I was looking at the trail map, I just couldn’t resist the sound of the Burgos waves. I have instantly become attached to the waves of Burgos. I already talked about it in one of my previous posts. So here, I’m sharing to you two more photos of the waves that amazed me and my family.

You may not be stunned by the photos, so you have to check the waves out personally! :D

2:10pm. Food was served! But I didn’t take photos of them as there was nothing special in them. The bagnet though is just like crispy pata except that it is almost tasteless and depends mostly on the dipping sauce. :-)
