Part 4 of a series
DAY 2
After our short stopover at the Basilica of Our Lady of Charity in Agoo, La Union, we hit the roads as we continued our roadtrip to the Northern tip of Luzon Island!
Two of the many bridges you’d encounter in Northern Luzon.

11:58am. Bauang Public Market

It was already lunch time when we arrived in the town of Bauang, so we decided to check out one of the first beach resorts we encountered, the Bali Hai Beach Resort, to see if we could possibly have lunch there. Also, we were scouting for prospect hotels where we could stay for a night on our trip back to Manila. We found the prices of the items in the resort’s restaurant’s menu to be quite expensive so we just decided to proceed with our roadtrip and eat lunch in the next city, San Fernando, which was just a few minutes away.

But before that, here are some photos of the beach in Bauang, La Union. Although its beach may not be white, it is still blessed with clean and very fine brown sand. Also, its beach is a very long contiguous stretch that is 10 kilometers long, and reaches towards San Fernando City.
12:11pm.

The fun sea waves are conducive for surfing, especially for beginners.*

We then proceeded to San Fernando City where we were finally able to eat lunch. Guess where. Yes, you’re right, we ate at the Pinoy Fastfood icon, Jollibee! lol.
1:04pm. San Fernando City’s Public Plaza

San Fernando is a bustling city with a lot of cars and people. In fact, it is the first place in the region where we encountered traffic lights.

*If you’re looking to surf, the best area to surf in La Union is San Juan, the next town after San Fernando City.
