June 27, 2019 by Sinjin Pineda No Comments

Rico’s Lechon, what is arguably Cebu’s best-tasting lechon, is set to open its biggest restaurant on Friday, June 28, 2019, 11:30am, at Unit F1, Jamestown, Mantawi International Drive, Mandaue City. Nearby landmarks are Parkmall, Big Hotel and City Times Square. This is good news for all the lechon lovers who missed Rico’s and were unable to visit their branch in Mactan.

Happy to be back at 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐨 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐨 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐳𝐚 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 almost a year since my last visit! One of my most looked-forward to “𝘊𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘑𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺𝘴” is the 𝘚𝘶𝘨𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘰𝘨 which features the best of Cebu, but because of the pandemic, they thought of putting 𝐒𝐮𝐠𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐨𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Until 𝘑𝘢𝘯𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝟹𝟷, guests get to choose from three sets of favorite Cebuano dishes on a platter as we continue to celebrate Sinulog. Together with my brothers, we got to try portions of each set. The Kalderetang Kanding is easily our favorite, followed by the Bam-i and Sinugbang Nukos!⁣⁣⁣

2020. A lot of things could be said about you. You 2020. A lot of things could be said about you. You are terrible, to say the least. But if we ask ourselves, what went right this year? ⁣
⁣
2020 taught me the real meaning of true friendship and genuine human connections. This year enlightened me with a lot of lessons, but the most important is: focus only on what matters, among them are family and a tight core of friends. We don’t need many, we just need a few real ones who we can celebrate good times with and provide support during the bad. A solid support system boosts our confidence and worth, and our well-being especially during this pandemic.⁣
⁣
While 2020 felt like a roller coaster ride, it definitely isn’t the worst year for me. I am happy that as the year comes to a close, I, my family, and friends are all still healthy and alive.⁣
⁣
To everyone I met, to those who left, to those I removed, to all of you who became part of my 2020, Thank You! You all had an impact and I will take all the learnings to 2021.⁣
⁣
The last day of the year is a celebration of collective dreams. Although we have been taken aback by the overall gloom of 2020, much of it was beyond our control and I remain hopeful that 2021 will be a much better year. ⁣
⁣
Thank you, next! HAPPY NEW YEAR, mga ka-GLORIOUS!⁣

Really got excited about this delivery: Belle’s Really got excited about this delivery: Belle’s Refreshing Juice of Davao City is now in Cebu!⁣
⁣
Tried out their eight regular flavors and I could attest that the juices indeed are made of pure fruits and veggies and have no preservatives and additives. Some of the juices have sugar, but in very low quantities. ⁣
⁣
Since it has no preservatives, it has to be covered in ice while being transported and must be kept chilled, opened or unopened. It could last 10-15 days unopened, but must be consistently chilled or else fermentation will be unstoppable. Once opened, consume within 3-5 days.⁣
⁣
They’re available in 1 Iiter and 3.75 liter gallons. ⁣
